Why Me?

Hello, My name is Pessi and I am a deeply emotional human. I asked someone dear to me what sets my work apart from others, and she said: “I wouldn’t call you a photographer, I’d call you a storyteller.”

Touché. So what is a storytelling photographer?

Whereas a traditional photographer focuses on capturing your “best” moments; flawless skin, your spotless home filled with your forever smiling kids… A storytelling photographer just wants to frame feeling. In order to tell your story, I need you to come as you are.

 

Something you’ll never regret? Documenting their childhood, to always remember them as they are. 

Yeah, posed smiles look great on walls, but how about framing your child’s expression of genuine wonder, how joyful you look when you dance barefoot on the muddy ground with traces of strawberry jam still left on your face, remnants of the fresh paste you’d made for morning.
